Welcome to Single Parent Homeschooling. My name is Karrie and I began this website as a way to help other parents who are joining the ever growing homeschool community. Homeschooling is not a method of education but rather a style of living. Every second of everyday becomes and opportunity to learn something new or reinforce old ideas.

Research shows homeschooling is growing in popularity and that it is not only for the rich or for two parent families. Infact the flexibilty offered by homeschool can actually work much better for a single parent family then the rush of the public school environment. Actual classroom lessons are usually completed in a matter of hours allowing more flexibility and freedom for other endeavors.

In my quest to provide the best education possible for my children I have accumulated a list of homeschooling resources, a marketplace listing new and used curriculum as well as other homeschool items and a list of resources for those new to homeschooling.

I have spent the past two years creating custom homeschooling articles at Suite101.com as well as creating and maintaining an extensive online forum with Family Christian Academy. My mandate has fast become "To provide the best possible resources for single parent homeschool families." That said many, if not all of the resources here are suitable and will be helpful to any homeschooling family.
